Autologous Fat Grafting for Volumizing the Aging Face
In this seminar, students will have the opportunity to learn about important factors, indications, techniques and complications/management surrounding both Large Volume Fat Grafting and Small Volume Fat Grafting.
Fat grafting has been an important part of our rejuvenation strategies in the face since Sydney Coleman first showed us his techniques twenty years ago. We will review the classic “Coleman Technique” and review and present the recent advances in: Micro Fat Grafting; PRP, and Renuva Adipose Allograft Matrix. The use of fat for volumetric enhancement of the face dates back to the 70’s and there have been great advancements in harvest and grafting.
Fat grafting is the latest effective technique for volume correction in aesthetic and reconstructive fields. It presents important advantages in comparison to other fillers, mainly for its regenerative capacities and long-term effect. These advantages are offered by regenerative and stem cells highly concentrated in fat tissue. Stem cells are merely immature cells that differentiate to different cell types to renew, regenerate and heal damaged tissues. Fat grafting is known as the safest and simplest treatment with a stable long-term result in aesthetical surgery and medicine. However, the success of this treatment depends highly on harvesting, purification and injection methods of fat tissue that will be addressed in this course.
These innovative autologous regenerative treatments of wrinkles, imperfections and ageing by fat grafts will be presented through an interactive course to the participants in a scientific program including theory, live-demonstration and hands-on.
Autologous fat grafting is a great income revenue stream added to your practice and is excellent natural choice for patients seeking to use their own tissue and offers a win-win situation for many patients and physicians.
This course is designed for physicians who will learn to harvest a small amount of fat then prepare a fatty prioritory “slush mixture” with combining Renuva to rejuvenate and volumize the entire skin for face and body. The use of tiny cannulas allows minimal injection downtime very similar to dermal fillers. In some cases you will being able to charge $1,200- $2,500 per treatment for this procedure and offer your patients a more permanent, safe, and more natural looking result by using the fat from one area and transplant that fat to either large areas of lipoatrophy or to the smallest of wrinkles and creases. Renuva adipose matrix is an allograft adipose matrix that is engineered to conveniently treat small volume soft tissue defects, liposuction defects and cellulite dimples. An alternative to fat grafting, Renuva is made from donated human adipose, or fat. The body reacts naturally to Renuva to fix small aesthetic defects and improve skin tone and texture. It is produced from the highest quality tissue and gives patients the same effect as fat grafting without the need for liposuction. A natural injection that does not require general anesthesia, the Renuva procedure takes as little as 10 minutes and can be performed in a doctor’s office. The adipose fat tissue that is injected into your body will merge with your own fat tissue, so no allergy test is required. You will enjoy firmer, more youthful looking skin and a diminishing of skin defects. Just think, skin, body and hand rejuvenation.
